Mad About Money Sermon SeriesMAD ABOUT MONEY
Mad About Money: It seems like everybody is wringing their hands over money these days, and some have even begun to shake their fists. We're preoccupied with the occupation of Wall Street, and who really knows what's brewing with the Tea Party? The bottom line is that lots of people have hackles raised about what they believe is financial mismangement or outright chicanery in high places.
Mad About Money is a three-week worship/study series which will briefly explore bibical examples of values and ethics related to money and property. The series will not by any means propose solutions to the present global economic crisis. But it will atriculate some fundamental principles of fatih for the use of wealth in developing and sustaining healthy economic relationships among us.
Along the way we will talk about how our offerings to the church represent a righteous use of money (in God's eyes, anyway), and why it is cruicial for each one of us to financially support the mission God has entrusted to this congregation.
Sunday November 6, 2011: We'll see how the LORD structured Israel so that no one would fall into proverty. Session 1 Class Notes
Sunday November 13, 2011: We'll learn why a penniless widow became a hero in Jesus' eyes.
Sunday November 20, 2011: The Apostle Paul will explain to us how some poor people became rich, and we'll learn the difference between Macedonian Money and Corinthian Cash. Session 3 Class Notes |
